Art in the heart of Montjoie
The Domaine de Montjoie exhibits nearly 200 contemporary works of art on a permanent basis (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.) highlighting many regional and national artists. The works adorn the buildings, the rooms and the park, in order to arouse the curiosity of the traveller.
Do you want to buy a work?
Most of the exhibited works are available for sale at the workshop price (without margin). We can put you in touch with the artists, the purchase of the works of art is then made directly with the artists. A certificate of authenticity of the work will be delivered to you by the artist himself at the conclusion of the sale.
”Putting down their bag filled with the material concerns of everyday life, each visitor to Montjoie benefits from the open-mindedness offered by the work of our former architects, builders and landscape gardeners and can then open their minds to the cultures of the world.

The exhibited artists at Montjoie
Most of the exhibited works come from the FACTO Collective, comprising some twenty visual artists from Toulouse, who have decided to come together and pool their ideas and know-how. Their objectives: to be fully in line with the current artistic field, and to establish a bridge between so-called Neoclassical Art and so-called Contemporary Art. Other independent artists have gradually joined the Domaine de Montjoie gallery.

pure and sharp, in the constant search for the perfect line. Most of the time he improvises and favors spontaneity. He paints randomly and more or less figurative elements appear. The encrustation of arabesques made with a knife airs his canvas, gives it a perspective and a depth that break and disturb the logic of the gaze. Silhouettes take shape, urban landscapes, suspended in time, appear in compositions that are alternately abstract, figurative, or aerial. His artistic sense, in the wake of abstract art, becomes a universal language.
Since 1997: opening of her "Drawing Workshop", Isabelle gives lessons for adults and children; in the variety of themes, styles and inspirations.
For O.J. Vincent, it is a question of bringing out of the canvas the poetic, sensory or spiritual dimension of everything that connects us to ourselves and to what surrounds us. Prioritize the vivid expression of emotions. And give all its place to the imagination. Giving substance to our inner voices and revealing their musicality, catching dreams in full flight and trying to capture their impalpable reality, undertaking the crossing of appearances and questioning, down to the tiniest... For him, each work is an Elsewhere embodied.
However, Gérard BOGO does not forget the Flamboyant. Let's color the life of our sculptures! An escape of colors in the phenomenology of the imagination.
Whether landscapes with or without human figures, nocturnal scenes, mechanical machines, tropical or southern islands, animals, portraits, nudes... the painter's ambition is to draw up an inventory of the situation of the contemporary world and one's own interior landscape.
He draws his inspiration from numerous overseas stays and trips (Antilles, Mascarenes, Madagascar, southern and Antarctic islands, China, Africa, etc.)
Universal vibrations at the Trace: an approach that is both intimate and global revealed
by gesture. A spontaneous Art in search of harmony. He is in constant search of the ultimate "gesture", in a quest for different, personal and intimate traces, which nevertheless resonate at the heart of a universal Whole, leading him towards a desire for communion and spiritual elevation. The main thing is the power and purity of intention. If the momentum is good, the vibration and the trace will be beautiful. Everything is subtle energy.
Trained at the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Toulouse, where he dedicated his business to plant decoration, he now creates objects based on stabilized plants. A process which starts from a base, a real plant, where the sap is replaced by a preservation solution: vegetable glycerin, pigments or mineral salts which will help maintain the freshness of the plant for several years.
For his plant assemblages, Jérôme Carrion draws a lot of inspiration from Asian vegetation, particularly bonsai, which he discovered after a trip to Asia exploring nature and its gardens. The artisan decontextualizes the plant to sublimate it into floral art.
Her singular and atypical journey is only the reflection of an introspection, an inner look, a vibration of the soul. Freedom again...
Après avoir rejoint le collectif de créateurs "L'Atelier Folie Douce", il s'installe comme indépendant à Toulouse et se spécialise dans la marqueterie de paille.
His artistic approach consists of a suggestion by shapes and colors which sometimes plunges towards an abstraction of backgrounds with which my painting has always had fun flirting...
A constant in my works are my elongated figures; “beings passing through” establishing a relationship between the world of representation and the visitor’s gaze. My numerous study trips have taken me from East to West, from North to South of this globe.
Today, one of my dreams has come true: I now work in my Workshop in the South-West of France. I settled in Fronton. My painting is an expression of joy and accomplishment. Each of my creations is a hymn to freedom in every way.”
